Upon exiting the Atlanta airport, follow the signs to Riverdale Road. The exit road from the airport heading south dead ends into Riverdale Road (State Road 139). Turn left onto Riverdale Road and continue for about 2 miles until you come to I-285. Take I-285 east for about 2 miles to the I-75 South exit to Macon (Exit 58). Continue on I-75 South for about 2 miles to the exit for Griffin (Exit 235, U. S. Highway 19/41). Continue on Highway 19/41 for about 25 miles to Griffin. Once you reach the outskirts of Griffin, you will see a Waffle House on your left and then shortly after that a McDonald's on your right. Continue past the next traffic light for 0.6 miles and take the exit to the right onto Business 19/41. (There is also a sign alerting drivers that this exit is for the Georgia Exp. Sta). Immediately get in the left lane as at the next traffic light (0.35 miles), turn left onto Ellis Rd. Go approximately ¼ of a mile and turn left into the entrance of the Experiment Station. Proceed for about 0.2 miles to Woodroof Dr. and turn left. The Center will be on your left about 0.2 miles down that road.
Directions to CFS from Athens:
Take GA Loop 10 to Hwy. 316 and head west toward Atlanta for about one mile. Exit onto Hwy. 78 and head west. At Monroe, take the exit for Hwy. 138 and head west towards Conyers. Just after reaching the outskirts of Conyers, take I-20 West heading toward Atlanta. Once you reach the outskirts of Atlanta, exit onto I-285 (Exit 67) and head west until you reach I-75 (Exit 58). Go South on I-75 until you see the exit for Griffin (Hwy. 19/41, Exit 235). Continue on Hwy. 19/41 for about 25 miles to Griffin. Once you reach the outskirts of Griffin, you will see a Waffle House on your left and then shortly after that a McDonald's on your right. Continue past the next traffic light for 0.6 miles and take the exit to the right onto Business 19/41. (There is also a sign alerting drivers that this exit is for the Georgia Exp. Sta). Immediately get in the left lane as at the next traffic light (0.35 miles), turn left onto Ellis Rd. Go approximately ¼ of a mile and turn left into the entrance of the Experiment Station. A warning to visitors coming from Athens to Griffin for the first time. If you have been advised by others to travel through McDonough, GA, there is a good chance you will get lost (90% of first-time visitors from Athens get lost). The route through McDonough may be shorter in distance, but in terms of total travel, it takes just as long as if you went by the interstate.
Directions to CFS from Macon, GA:
Take I-75 N heading toward Atlanta. Take the exit for Griffin and Jackson (Hwy. 16, Exit 205). Go west for about 10 miles. Proceed straight through the downtown of Griffin. Shortly after you see Cub Foods on your right, take a right onto Business 19/41 (Wendy's will be on the left corner). Proceed approximately 1 mile and turn right onto Ellis Rd. Go approximately ¼ of a mile and turn left into the entrance of the Experiment Station. Proceed for about 0.2 miles to Woodroof Dr. and turn left. The Center will be on your left about 0.2 miles down that road.
Directions to CFS from Auburn, AL:
Take I-85 N heading toward Atlanta, GA. Take the exit for GA Hwy 16 near Newnan, GA (Exit 41). Proceed east on Hwy 16 for about 34 miles. Once you reach Griffin, you will pass Home Depot on your left. At the next stop light, turn left onto Business 19/41 (Wendy's will be on the left corner). Proceed approximately 1 mile and turn right onto Ellis Rd. Go approximately ¼ of a mile and turn left into the entrance of the Experiment Station. Proceed for about 0.2 miles to Woodroof Dr. and turn left. The Center will be on your left about 0.2 miles down that road.
